USA: Idaho’s barley market trends

Idaho Barley Comission reported on September 1 that local barley prices were steady to 7 cents lower in southern Idaho and steady in northern Idaho.

USDA’s export sales report showed export shipments at 242,000 metric tones, mainly to Algeria. New barley export sales totaled 324,000 metric tones last week. Buyers included Taiwan (30,000 metric tones) and Algeria 24,000 metric tones.
